Week 40, Our Favorites!

"A Taste for Vintage" was a great week for our pool of photographers. It was great seeing so many fun Vintage items and looking through some really fantastic vintage processing. This theme proved that you can recreate a time or a feeling of yesteryear today through your photography. If you tried something new with your processing that worked really well for you, crow about it. Your tip can make all the difference to a budding photographer. Excellent work guys.
Now on to the top ten. I really loved the processing and the general feel of this week's top ten. Remember that the artist links are directly below. If you like the work visit their sites and send them some love. Everyone falls into slumps, your encouragement could make all the difference. So go ahead and leave them some love. Here we go, in no particular order...

And now, on to Ellenburg Photography's photo of the week. This week we went to my favorite Railroad track {it's only my favorite because I've never been interrupted by a train here ever} I bought a pair of suspenders and brought my famous bird cage along. Believe it or not, this was the shot in my head & it was the first one we took. Isn't it awesome when that happens?

This photograph had very little extra processing {although it looks like I spent quite a bit of time with it}. I ran it through Nik Define 2.0 once and Nik Silver Efex 2.0 once, and that's it. Silver Efex has some really great effects. I considered running it through the New Nik Color Efex 4.0 that just came out last week ... but I think I'm going to tinker around with it next week. Did you buy it yet? If you did, Send me an email and let me know what you thought about it.

Week 41's theme of "Architecture" is going to be GREAT. Not only will we get to see amazing architecture from all over our great country but we will get to see it through your eyes. When photographing Architecture, perspective and time of day is everything. Plan your outing and get creative. I'm looking forward to seeing your town! As for us, I'm making an outing into historic downtown Mobile, Alabama. There's plenty of great things, the only problem is narrowing down what to shoot and picking the day with the best weather. Good luck with your Architecture adventures!

  1. Daphne~

Thanks for featuring my photo this week.

I love not only your choices this week but how you added why you chose each image. Perhaps that gives the viewer a different perspective in looking at the image. Thanks!

Good luck with next week's challenge!
