Week 39, Our Favorites!

This week's theme had me reflecting on the many times it has been Photographer vs. Nature. No matter where you are shooting, Mother Nature is there, waiting to make your shots a little less crisp or make you a little nervous about toting around your very expensive new lens. When I'm shooting, Rain makes me uncomfortable, Sand a little nervous and the Wind sometimes really makes me mad. While we battle nature to get our perfectly crisp shot, we learn how to use our knowledge {and some great new gadgets} to get what we want in any weather condition. Thank goodness Mother nature is out there forcing us to try new ideas to get things we want, and hopefully we all get to slow down and enjoy the great things she sends our way.
I've got the top 10 coming your way. If you enjoy the photo, the link to their work is below. Check out the artist and send them some Love. Everyone could use an encouraging pat on the back, so go ahead and pat away! Now on to my favorites of the week.

And for our photo of the week... I took a break from my extensive main floor remodel and hung out the the kids on the front lawn. Just me, 3 knuckleheads and a bottle of bubbles. Fun with bubbles is a great way to waste part of your afternoon and it is highly recommended. This shot was taken just before sunset with a speed light and my favorite 8pt star filter.

Week 40's theme is "A Touch of Vintage" - this is going to be a big creative week for our photographers. So many choices, do I go with Vintage props? or Vintage Processing? or recreate a fun Vintage photo? I've got some great ideas already brewing. I can't wait to see yours.
If you haven't joined MCP Action's Project 52, what's the hold up? This is a great place to meet new people and learn some great skills that will help you to continue to master yours, and it's free.
