As we are gearing up for a big college football weekend, I'm reminded that my lazy days of summer are slowly winding down to an end. It winds a little slower in southern Alabama, but its winding just the same. Enjoy a quick one of a little fun with my mini-me and our butterfly.

Week 34, our Favorites!

As August winds down to an end, this week's MCP Actions Project 52 theme of "Connections" really had our photographers thinking outside the box. We saw things literally connected like chains and fences, and emotional things like siblings, parents, and even nature. And as I"m gearing up for football season, it was nice to see some hard hitting football action too. Even though this is a busy time of year for most families, it was nice to see our group slow down and make these photos remarkable.

And now on to Ellenburg Photography's submission for "Connections" - many of you know, I'm in the full on throws of a main floor remodel. Seriously, I have to wear shoes at all times. It was nice to slow down, listen to the tales of middle school and enjoy a family game night with my boys.

Week 35's theme of "Lazy" opens all kinds of doors for this creative photography group. The one photo that always comes to my mind, is the photo I always take on my private vacation "run away vacation" with my husband every year...sandy feet under a palm tree. That's my idea of a lazy day. Hope you guys get to spend a little time being lazy and inspired with this week's MCP Action's Project 52 theme.

Belk Engagement Party

Thursday night, Belk Department Stores, held a chain-wide Engagement Party event. This event invited all the Brides and Grooms in the area for a meet and greet with local vendors. Ellenburg Photography was happy to be invited back to this fun Belk Event. Enjoy a few photos of the the fun and the guests.

Many Thanks to Belk and to the wonderful vendors I enjoyed meeting and catching up with. Special thanks to the lovely ladies at Edible Arrangements, for the extra tasty gift. This was a lovely centerpiece to my Friday night family dinner. It was a big hit and I may only want edible flowers from now on.

Week 32 - Our Favorites

This week's MCP Project 52 theme was "My Favorite Time of Day." It was refreshing to see that my favorite times of day are shared by many. Additionally, there were a lot of family focused favorite times of the day, and I really liked that - I love goofing around with my knuckleheads just as much as you. We really worked hard this week to prove that a favorite time of day doesn't have to be a time at all, it's a place, a moment, an event that brings you and those around you joy.
